On a blue shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) blue border, five diagonal stripes from upper left to lower right, red over orange, over yellow, over green, over blue. The beret flash was approved on 10 Oct 1990.
